College success is more than being admitted. It requires hard work, achieving academic goals, growing leadership capacities, gaining experience in a field, navigating social situations, prioritizing emotional and physical health, and many more skills.

At Intercultural Transitions, we know that college admissions is not the beginning nor the end of the college transition process. Our students begin by reflecting on their abilities and interests and building their own identity development. For many globally mobile students, identity development is in flux and our mentorship helps students understand their strengths, passions, interests, and limitations so they can apply their newly found knowledge to the college search process.

As students search for universities by exploring their options and connecting with students, faculty, and staff they match up more than their numbers. We help students identify opportunities to shine, find community, and earn scholarship support; many of our students have earned admissions into highly selective fellowship and scholarship programs that enhance their student experience. Students identify universities where they will be successful after the admit letter arrives - they commit to universities that will foster them as a whole person.

With Intercultural Transitions, students learn more than how to search and apply to colleges, they build resilience and develop skills that will help them succeed in college and beyond!
